I'm interested in going to a concert this summer in Tampa that is sold out. After checking craigslist, there are lots of tickets available, both from brokers and individuals. While buying from the former seems straightforward, I'm not sure how I would buy tickets from a private party? My main concerns are my safety, during the transaction, and the chance the tickets are counterfeit.
Not that it matters, but it's the Coldplay show on 6/28 (just in case someone here happens to have tickets they want to sell!).
Stubhub takes all the concerns out of that. Also if it is a local Tampa sale I could handle the exchange for you and get you the tickets before the show. Then you'd owe me twice!
Where are they playing?

Good point. Didn't think about Stub Hub. And sorry for not responding! I missed your reply.
They are playing at the Tampa Bay Times forum.
As for me owing you, yes I do!
In reply to dyintorace:
Me and friends have used StubHub before. Good stuff.
With the onset of digital scanners for tickets- it's easy to re-sell them. We printed our tickets to a Stanley Cup semi game in Denver.
Hey, I'll be in the Tamba Bay Times Forum in ONE WEEK! And one week and 2 days. (we are staying downtown for the Frozen Four)
You know how i know you're gay? Trying to buy Coldplay tickets.

Very cool! If you like Latin food, be sure to hit the Columbia restaurant in Ybor city. It's an institution and the 1905 salad is fantastic!
There's a Columbia in St. Augustine. I was in the 5th grade the last time I was there.

Tampa is a very good food town. Especially if you like a Latin flavor. Ybor is party central, and can get a bit rowdy. Also, more strip clubs than any city I have ever been to. (Now expecting a bunch of snarky comments)

Columbia, check.
Latin food is some of our favorite. We've been told to walk over to Ybor City- should be fun!

Ybor is a little sketchy at night, might want to check out S Tampa or downtown St Pete.
Actually, I think we're the guys that make Ybor sketchy at night, so you're cool. Unless you're talking about the black people, which we are not.
Sucks that you're not seeing them somewhere else. I just saw Metronomy (headlining) Sunday night, and I guess they're opening for Coldplay (weird matchup...) in California, but then heading back to europe. berkeley they were good. Like, best show I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot of shows good.
Funny story: I've been on the opposite end of that transaction. Me and a buddy went to Chapel Hill to see Polvo. I had an extra ticket, put it on CL, and this dude committed to buy immediately. Told him I'd just call from the hotel when we got there.
Call dude, and while he's on the way, me and my buddy start joking around about how uncomfortable we could make it for him, like one of us gets naked and hides in the bathroom, wait for dude to come in, and be like (exiting bathroom) "It's nice to finally meet you kevin. We're glad you could join the party." While the other dude blocks the door.
Anyway, we go through a hundred scenarios, and we're laughing our asses off when dude shows up. I'm like "Hey man, come on in. Have a drink." And dude is ALL freaked out, like "No, I'll just stay right here." Didn't help that he appeared to be tripping pretty hard on something. His pupils were the size of dinner plates.
