Holy crap.....
edit- Graphic! Digits missing pieces.....
You have to give the guy credit for putting it up on his forum. Took total responsibility for it, knew he would get flamed badly, but wanted others to learn from his mistakes. I'd say he manned up well.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I think he learned something today. I am also impressed with the dexterity of his other hand ... Taking camera phone pics one handed is not easy. I bet he could probably text and drive.
How does someone crush the ends of his fingers off and then take a picture? I'm pretty sure I'd be too busy running around screaming to take pics if it was me.

Not me.
i'd be passed out.......
Before even getting to the the finger bit, he shares another way "How to NOT lube your bike chain"
so I put it up on the stands and got out the wd-40 and a rag
I cut the end of a finger off with a razor knife. All the way to the tip of the bone..
you would never know today, it grew back nicely. I have to admit, it did not hurt that much. I imagine it was more or less the same as when that squid decided to use blood to lube his chain

QFT. Totally missed that with all the bloodnguts. Hondalube, folks: it's the best.

I love this post... Should be in the mag.

I know how that feels I drove myself to the ER with the AC cranked and my hand right in front of the vent. Tall windows make very effective guillotine

Woah!
I knew what I was about to see and it was still a shocker.
I didn't look a the thread but only assumed dude had bike idling in gear and tried to "clean" or lube the chain with is hand and his hand went around the rear sprocket. If so My dad did that growing up. Got his middle finger loped off in the middle of the middle bone. He said the pain was surprisingly tolerable. I'm not saying he was like.. wheee lets go to an amusement park.. but he said it was not as bad as he thought it would be.

It's been a while since I used any but the red stuff makes an awsome flame thrower. Like fifteen feet of sticky napalm.

Or... just rotating the wheel by hand with the bike in neutral.
If he had a shaft bike he would probably have got his tie caught in it and killed himself

Yeah, the way it's supposed to be done by every written directions on how to do this. Not to mention common sense. Guess the next time he'll do it right. I guess the bright side is 3 less fingernails to clip.
He has a warning on the top of his site. *LEAVE NOW IF YOU WILL BE OFFENDED BY GRAPHIC PICS***
BELIEVE it. I had to get away quickly!
