How to Piss Off all the hobbyests in a state (Rant)

I made several entries in the CA State Fair Home Brew Competition. The fair opened yesterday. The results of judging have still not been released. Judging was completed over a month ago. Commercial Craft Beer, Home Wine, and Commercial Wine were all released over a month ago.

Turns out, the guy responsible for putting together and posting the results, a local home brew supply shop owner, never got it done. Instead, he took off on a trip to Ireland, and is supposed to be getting back today.

I've dealt with this guy in the past and gotten horrible service pretty much every time I've dealt with him. shiny happy person.

You would be surprised all the disasters that happen at the state fair (floods, fires, and much more). Really as long as everything looks good to the visitors I think they don't much care, no matter how annoyed the people actually participating get.

I'm ticked off because there's a strong possibility I got at least one medal, and I'd like to be able to put that on my resume to make application at some local breweries.

Hey, you guys want to show up here, we can have a party. I think I've got 6-8 cases worth of beer ready to drink, and another 5 gallons in the fermenter ready to bottle (so it can be drinkable in 2-3 weeks). ABV ranges from 5% - 9%.

If you weren't half the country away, the wife and I would be happy to drink some high quality brews.

I'm really surprised my Cedar beer did not win anything in Herb & Spice.
