Never a good thing when a hurricane stops moving.  I know Pete is in the area.  Anyone else?

It's moved east of us & it pretty much heading toward Mobile now. We've had the backside of the outer bands off & on today, but not much rain & the winds haven't been very strong either. There was some tidal surge this afternoon that flooded part of Hwy 90 along the beach, but it subsided about an hour later.

03Panther lives pretty much in Sally's path. I see he posted around 1:30am, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's without power now.

We are 200 miles east of the center and for over 36 hours it has been raining.  Raining buckets now.

Pete was nice enough to send it my way!

its staying west of me just enough to be ‘bout the same as Pete. It’s likely to split the difference between us, but if it goes far enough n before turning east, I’ll have lots of flooding round here.

Raining off and on for 2 days; nonstop for 5 hrs now. Wind not bad... so far!

Sister is out of power.  Haven't heard from Dad, but he is out near Purple Frog, I'd bet his creek is overflowing

He's somewhere in Havana, maybe 30-45 minutes over, depending on where exactly and which way you go.  Not that far mileage wise though, just a bunch of back roads

Any other options? Me and FB don't get along, and no clue how to put something on youtube.

FB is not the CAUSE of the downfall of society, but it is a huge symptomsad

I'm about 10 miles east of Quincy.  Same county.  We had a ton of rain (understatement). Probably 10 inches.   Lots of swift water deals during the big downpours.  Usually clears an hour later.  Many closed roads because of high water.  One has to be careful driving into a valley at night.  Expect some local rivers to move to flood stage, especially those coming out of Georgia.

But nothing like Pensacola.  sad

The rain stopped while I was sleeping today! Flooded waters around me are still on the rise, but did not flood any houses this time.

I hate when things like this dump a lot of water inland.  The coastal areas shed off the water so much easier.

Was it bad for areas west and north of Dothan? I haven't seen any reports. Still going, or has it petered out?

We last checked in on folks here Thursday... I never heard anything else about the storm... what did it do after landfall?

the high water mark at the river near us was the next day... and not too high
