I just have to brag, just for a minute, on my day yesterday.
I was mowing the lawn and my 6 year old wanted a ride. This wouldn't have been a big deal but there was an incident with a family member being a total bezerleier and holding him on a lawn mower when he was 2, causing him to be terrified of them ever since.
Yesterday he walked up to me on the mower and asked for a ride and then he wanted to drive.
I am a very happy Daddy today.

And in typical engineering fashion I have a 3 year old you can't keep off the mower.

Nice, but soon the neighbors are going to wonder why your lawn is cut in such a funny pattern and what the heck those little orange cones are doing out there while your kid is mowing the lawn
