...at 23. I know this for one reason:

I have no effing idea what Twitter is and why it is such a big thing all of the sudden. I looked at the website, but I still don't get it.

It's hard to explain. Sort of a mixture of blogging, text messaging, narcissism and voyeurism.

It lets you know the exact moment "hey, I think I'll go have a beer" crosses my mind.

You're not officially old until you hate all new music. It happened to me around the birth of Emo.

If that's the case, I beacame an old man at the ripe age of 14. Got a hold of an Eagles CD from my dad, listened to it, and suddenly realized that everything I heard on the radio was absolute E36 M3.

Haven't looked back since!

I have facebook, and only because it is an easy way to stay in touch with my fam-damnily. Otherwise, I hate it. But, it is nice to be able to keep up.

You, can, however, use Twitter to keep up with the latest updates from your favorite magazine:

Twitter sounds to me like status updates on Facebook, but without any of the other features.

While we're on the subject of intarwebz stuffs that don't make sense, what the heck is an RSS feed and why should I care?

I can totally see someone twittering (is that even how you say it?) on the autocross course... "And now I'm turning left, and now a lane-change right, and now a gate..."

Still open to new music (37 in May).

Actively rejecting Facebook (even though that's turned into a 30-something parent-fest)

Twitter is just silly. I'm fairly certain no one cares where I am at any given point in the day.

At 30 I use Facebook for keeping in touch with old friends, family, and a few cheap time wasting games.

Can't get into twitter at all.....I've tried. Myspace? not allowed on my home or work networks

Yup, I think the first time I felt old (I'm 30) was when I realized all my favorite bands are now only played on the flashback lunch hour on KROQ.

Speaking of old, we have an ancient computer system at work. I made the comment that, "At least it's not a Commodore 64." My audience had no clue what that was, and I felt really old.

Both my grandmothers died of heart attacks before 60. I'm eligible to retire this summer (can't afford to) so this whole old fart thing is a matter of perspective.

I'm an old fart and moderately proud of it.

My twitter is chrome and uses 2 doube Ds.

I was out dancing last week (blues and west coast swing), the DJ played "Rock the Cradle of Love" by Billy Idol. The gal I was dancing with had a look like she didn't know what the hell it was.

I READ THIS WHOLE THING AND STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TWITTER IS! Either I suck, or I am totally awesome. I'm leaning towards the latter.

And Billy Idol friggin' rocks.

MEGA-EDIT: And for the record, Facebook used to be a useful piece of communications software for keeping track of your college friends (I transferred schools, so it really helped me). Then they opened it up to everybody. Then they turned it into Myspace. And now it SUCKS!

Twitter is a stupid thing online that you can give status updates for yourself or your business on. They're limited to a certain maximum number of characters. Hip urban executive types like to use it on their Crackberries to let everyone know what sort of hip urban executive E36 M3 they're up to at that minute.

Yes. Billy Idol frickin' rocks. Apparently 19y/o gals aren't worldly enough to realize that.

And I like facebook for keeping up with old friends, and for coordinating group activities.

I've almost passed the age of uselessness, but still use Facebook but still don't understand twitter... and yes, I have a crackberry and so does my wife... Google Maps for the Blackberry eliminated the need to buy a portable GPS for any car and since it's part of the phone, it's always with you.
