Apparently in some locations, such as my own, you are not allowed to buy spray paint unless you are 21 or older. This is bullE36 M3. I drove to the hardware store in a 3500lb car, which I have legally been driving for three years. The car has many hundreds of times more destructive potential than a can of automotive primer in a spray can.

I might graffiti with it. Why would I pick flat gray? I can't believe this. No doubt I could more easily buy fertilizer and whatever other ingredients I might need for a bomb with no problem from the same hardware store.

I am sad today. I have to wait for my parents to get home and see if they want to buy it for me.

You can die for your country, but not prime a car? Weird.

21? Holy freaking cow! I remember when the law in Floriduh changed to 18, I turned 18 2 days later

I still don't see 21 though. That's flipping stupid. You can buy porno and cigarettes but not primer?

You can die for your country, but can't have a beer, either.

I think it's 18 here for paint.

You can also get married, enter contracts, vote, and buy a gun.

But you can't buy spray paint.

We have a winner!

Around here you also got show ID for starter fluid and some OTC cold medicine, due to meth.

Edited for pedantry.

Anyone else want to fess up to buying .22LR ammo and telling the clerk it was for a rifle when you fully intended to put it in a Ruger Mk II?

Nope. It's an old vandalism thing.

Yup. They did this around here a few years ago. Last year city council floated the idea of making it illegal for minors to buy magic markers too, because they could use those for vandalism too. Surprisingly, they smartened up and dropped the motion (or were too lazy to pursue it).

In Canada, when I buy Raid from Home Depot, the manager has to come out and advise me that Raid is poisonous.

Last time I said "I hope so, I need it to poison things"

What kind of .22 ammo do you usually put through that pistol? I just bought a Mark III and the only thing I can seem to have any success with is the CCI Mini-mag. Blazer jams (expected), Winchester Super X jams (slightly less expected), but so do Remington Yellowjackets (unexpected).

Sorry for the slight thread jack. Don't kill me, please!

I typically use the Remington stuff in the bulk box, but I've used various other name brands. Never had any issue. Same is true of my Mk III. (The Mk II is my dad's.)

never had problems with my MK1, have you taken it apart, cleaned it, and oiled the hell out of it? (and it has fired blazer fine before, but i use remington now)

i had the same spray paint problem a few years back in Worthington, OH at a hobby store. (was getting paint for a model mustang) cant remember if it was 18 or 21 they were looking for.. never been carded on it since.

I'm pretty sure it's 18 here. The other day I bought some clear spray for the BABE car, and thought it was funny that the register prompted to check ID. What kinda of vandal uses clear coat to tag with?

I guess they've left you with no other option but to steal that E36 M3. Big baggy cargo pants with draw-strings at the bottom work well.
