French fries dipped in vanilla ice cream or vanilla shakes is an awesome dichotomy of flavor.
used to dip Wendy's fries in a frosty. Awesome and necessary since their fries used to be pretty terrible.
As a kid I would make peanut butter and syrup sandwiches.
Dad would make peanut butter sandwiches with the cheapest white bread possible and then dip it in milk. Disgusting because the bread essentially turned into a paste.
Occasionally I'll get a bag of flamin hot and regular Cheetos just to combine them. Maybe add a bag of Funyuns or Doritos.
Wavy Lays and slices of cured meat and a good cheese works surprisingly well.
Does a McGangbang count?
Or the Wendy's equivalent: "4 for $4", put the nuggets and some fries on the burger. Make it with a Jr bacon burger and you've got the whole barnyard.
Hooters burgers/sandwiches are best with a layer of their fried jalapenos in the middle.

Further research shows that peanut butter does not improve bacon.
Mmmm, respectfully disagree. Try making a grilled sandwich with peanut butter and crispy bacon. Like a grilled cheese but no cheese. And the bacon must be good and crispy, even though when I eat bacon straight, I prefer it mostly chewy.

When we eat breakfast out and I get toast I save my bacon and eat it at the end with toast and peanut butter.
Further proof that you and I share a bizarre form of parallel evolution.

The 'fries in a frosty' thing must be age-dependent. Because I get the whole sweet / salty thing, but that sounds berking disgusting to me. My kids, who are in their mid-late 20s, are both like 'oh, yeah, of course you dip your fries in your shake.'

Oh, and:
Extra-toasty Cheez-its + lightly salted peanuts = best snack mix ever.
I don't do the fries in the frosty thing, though I always have a frosty with my #2 combo, but how about fries on the burger?
Not at Wendys, but if we go to McD's (Mrs P loves few things as much as a big Mac) We get the BM combo with a regular burger on the side. Fries always go on the burger

All sandwiches should have a potato layer, whether chips or fries. I prefer chips because crunchy, and so many places use garbage soggy fries.

I don't have a problem with potatoes in the sandwich; I just don't understand the point. I'd rather alternate bites between sandwich / burger and chips / fries.

Same. It doesn't improve the sandwich, and the fries/chips get lost in the sandwich, so why not enjoy them on their own?
Now, fries in milkshakes/frostys are a different story, IMHO.
If you get the right amount of fries on the burger it just works, and you can still have fries on the side as well.
Why put the jam on with the peanut butter? Why not just eat it on the side with a spoon?

Because it improves the overall flavor profile. But fries don't, IMHO, improve a sandwich at all.

Don't worry. You can't be right all the time
Peanut butter and grape jelly sammich with a slice of American cheese. Mmmmm
Also, one of the best snacks I've ever had at a SAG station on a long charity bike ride was an oreo with a spoon of pnut butter and a thick slice of banana on top.
I recently heard a recommendation for frozen pizza smeared with some mayo and then topped with asian style hot chili sauce - and that was from the chef who makes Boon chili sauce. (if you don't know Boon and you like chili sauce you're missing out. Boonsauce.com)
Ramen packs are meant to be eaten like a protein bar, not cooked at all. Sprinkle the flavor on and send it.
I almost never do Ramen without adding Sriracha and honey. Makes it a kinda spicy teriyaki.
I add cracked black pepper and/or fennel to the filter basket of my coffee pot.
I almost always add a slice of Cooper Cheddar and a can of meat (tuna, chicken turkey) to my mac n cheese. (also, mac n cheese is surprisingly good with some slices of dill pickle in it)
I like to befoul Bush's Vegetarian Baked Beans with about 50% smoked ham. I sometimes grill up a nice big ham steak and smother it with those beans.

Open a tin of tuna, hit it with Tabasco, and grab a fork.
I worked with someone who ate, every day for lunch for at least ten years, one can of tuna (in water, not oil) with a tablespoon or two of Red Hot added after squeezing the water out. Usually he'd spread it over four bagel halves, but sometimes not.

WOW. He must have enough mercury in him to make a decent thermometer.
I did something similar for about the same period of time but with pink salmon, though I would usually have a few crackers or a small salad with it.
Extra skin and bones please.

I dunno about that, I remember doing this in the mid-80's as a teenager.

I'm pushing 50 and did that as a kid. Not sure where that puts me in your discussion, either an outlier, or smack dab in the middle of it?

A Colombian burger place opened in Tallahassee for a while. I think that every burger had potato chips on them. Was interesting.
In middle/high school, I'd skip the peanut butter and just put fluff on white bread. Usually 3 sandwiches at time. Have I mentioned I learned at 37 I have Celiac'a disease? I don't know how I'm alive, honestly.
Oh, and plain rice krispie treats make me sad. Use golden grahams and add some chocolate chips to the butter/marshmallows when you're heating them. S'mores bars! I've been known to throw some marshmallows, butter, vanilla, and butterscotch chips into a small plastic bowl, nuke it, then mix in some chex. Awesome dessert.

In Australia is normal to have a slice of Beets on your burger ! its hard to get the purple off the hamburger bun !
Beets were a food like Lima beans that my Mom feed me when I was bad :)
