Good point. If they couldn't find parts for their F4s so soon after their "revolution", I can't see how on Earth they'd find enough stuff to keep something as complicated as an F14 in the air..
As a very weird non-sequitur, when I typed "F4 Phantom" into Google, the 2nd link on its automatic drop-down menu was "F4 phantom for sale"..clicked it, the results were half R/C aircraft modelers selling ducted fan stuff. The other half was real Phantom pieces for aviation collectors.
This thing plus MS Flight Simulator would equal some of the wilder computer SimRacing cockpits folks have posted here.
