All I can say is... WOW!
And here I thought the repost was gonna all about good ol' Pierre Scerri. That there airport is impressive and all, but this feller is the ultimate modelmaker, to the point of monomaniacal insanity. Just in case there's anyone here that hasn't seen it already,

And Ferrari sues in 3...2...
That is really cool in a model railroader's acid trip sort of way. The subtle way the chutes decelerate up to the planes, the smoothness of the motion on all the vehicles and planes, the cracks in the asphalt. These people are lunatics. Possibly with poor hygiene and no interpersonal human skills to speak of.
Very cool.
Only in Germany could this be a major tourist attraction. I think if I'd seen this when I was 8 I might have exploded.

Believe it or not Ferrari helped him out quite a bit, getting him in touch with Coletti. The gears were the one thing Pierre outsourced, they made those scaled down from the ones in the real car. Um. I'm starting to think I'm in the TMI zone with this thing....
