No, idiot spelling. Most Americans understand it's a duallie.

Apparently not the world's largest auto maker though.
In reply to Datsun240ZGuy :
Link to the page in the 1985 Chevy truck factory brochure where they call it a Dooley. https://oldcarbrochures.org/United%20States/GM%20Trucks%20and%20Vans/1985_Trucks_and_Vans/1985-Chevrolet-Full-Size-Pickups-Brochure/slides/1985_Chevrolet_Full-Size_Pickups-06-07.html
Is it pedantic or peddy?
:)
(FYI Doolie/Dooley bothers me a little but I always thought it was Dually so....)
My vote: Get rid of.
As a classic car guy myself, the only real money in square bodies is a short-bed C10 or a K20 blazer. Those are the money wagons. You might find someone who really wants to restore or mod a dually, but unlikely. A C10 can be turned into a slammed custom or a resto and be worth more. A dually will always be perceived as a work truck, and it's more of a niche market.
So the only chance you have is to give it to me

If you keep it and fix it up, the easy button would be to find a 6.5TD and drop it in. A little more hp than the 350, and likely double the torque. Plus, the one I had (crew cab, SRW) frequently returned 24 mpg highway.
No photos in this thread means you already decided to keep it, even if only subconsciously. If you were seriously thinking about selling there would be pitchers in this feeler thread.
Huh. I referred to the fact that the truck could be seen in my "garage" here on GRM in my very first post.

That pic was taken a few years ago. Clearcoat is continuing to peel. Truck does not look this good today. Cab corners have a little rust. Could use a full resto.

Single cab doolies aren't that common. That would look rad lowered a few inches even if the body isnt perfect. Patina is in right now!
Oh I didn't look at the garage picture because lazy. Single cab dually! Put me in line to buy it after your son.
"Now Dooley was a good old man, he lived below the mill, Dooley had 2 daughters and a 40 gallon still..."

You may have missed the joke, but the reason for my reply is to make sure everyone knows I really know how to spell petty. (Yes this is petty and insecure.)
Anybody care to venture a guess as to what an only slightly unreasonable asking price would be? If I were to sell it, of course. I'm not there quite yet...

If it's as straight as it looks and runs strong, $15 would be high but not laughably so. 4X2 and small block hurt it a bit...4X2 part is debatable since so many want these slammed to the ground
Yeah I wouldn't ding the 2wd on that truck that much vs a 4wd K30. The people looking for a one ton square body are looking for both.
I'm biased towards a Squarebody, but I say keep it if you have the room for it. Lowered duallys are pretty hawt.
Keep it for your son if he's really interested and you don't need to sell.
If the rust isn't bad, I'd say $5K for a quick sale, $8K within a couple of weeks, $12K or more if you really work at selling it and can wait.
Look at recent Mecum auctions to get a sense of where the market is. It's getting hotter. Yours is a rare-ish example. I only found one other DRW.
