Whoever thought it was a good idea to have a bunch of Floridians stand out doors in 33 degree weather - with a wind chill of negative 1 billion - is an idiot. That is all.

Buncha whining sissies. I ran an enduro in Georgia through a weak Cat 1 hurricane. Rode hare scrambles when it was so cold and wet the mud had ice in it. The biggest problem with 33 degree weather is tires won't stay warm.
Id kill for an autox right now but north Carolina region still doesnt have the 2012 schedule done yet

Guilty as charged. I would be fine if the wind would die down. currently typing from the shelter of the car's interior
Look at it this way Joey; it hasn't killed you yet so you must be stronger for it. I would LOVE to be doing an autoX or rallyX right now. It is a balmy 25 degrees right now in Raleigh.
The instructors are currently leading people on the Frozen Novice Walk-through. The temp is up to 38 degrees. The wind has picked up, too.
There's no incentive to avoid coning quite like the knowledge that the cones are frozen solid enough to shatter your bumper covers.
Awww the poor Floridian is chilly, boo hoo
Snow-cross is the best kind of autocross.
It was snowing so hard, the laser timing light system they had wouldn't work, because snowflakes kept tripping it. This was about 2 hours after it started snowing, and there was already 4 inches on course when I had my runs. Drove the normally 2.5 hour trip home on I-95 in a lowered Saturn coupe...took 5 hours to get home. I took G Stock that day, though!
Wuss. I autocrossed Andy Nelson's bajillion horsepower, 10 second, V8, open top Fiat in January in 34 degree rain, and it was worth it. If you saw how squirrelly it was at the dry florida challenge autocross, I'm sure you can imagine it was quite the handful.

Had my own snowcross on the way to work yesterday morning. All the corner workers were running away.
My truck's windows were frozen shut this morning. I have spent most of the day outside. I would love to be at an autocross today.

Theres on on Feb 18th at Zmax, its on my auto events.
All the tarheel events are hard to make it to from out here on the coast. The cape fear region is real active though in havelock and Wilmington but I here there have been issues with the venue in Wilmington hence the shedule hold up
We are autocrossing today and it's 6 degrees F. Put on a jacket. Though I recommend not using the seat in the port a potty.....brrr.
Seth,
How did it go? How was the surface? Need to change the course much? I spent the morning welding a new flex joint into the downpipe on the Jetta, so I couldn't make it today. Went to the RacerExpo in Mass yesterday. Mostly roundy-round stuff.
I would love a winter autocross on frozen Lake Erie. (no frozen lake erie this year). 27 in Cleveland.

Did anyone have to juggle working their corner station vs. having to hold onto an umbrella?
33 degrees? Here in Michigan, a 33 degree day in February calls for dropping the pontoon boat in the water, firing up the grill and doing some tubing!
Somebody call a waaambulance! I just got home from my second winter driving school in a week. 33 degrees? Bah.
