I don't want to post anything on any other forum, because they all suck. So I'm posting here first.
I want to take my drone with me on a trip to Germany and Netherlands. I know the rules to fly them there, but I really want to K KW that I"'m actually be able to take it into the country and. It get it confiscated.
Anyone know hiw to find this out?
Call the embassy of the respective countries and ask for their aviation department?
I would be tres tres careful abut taking a drone into a foreign country.
Are you a spy? If you're a spy, you should take the drone, but be sure the cloaking feature works.

There doesn't appear to be any restrictions on import for either Germany or the Netherlands. The Library of Congress office of foreign law keeps track of that stuff.
There's a map which gives the synopsis of the laws. If you look at somewhere like The Bahama's it talks about importing one where Germany and the Netherlands don't. (Note: This is a hobbyist project)
The best thing to do would be talk to the embassy or customs if you want direct confirmation.
Contact each country's respective aviation bureau. They will be able to guide you far better than our embassy.

Netherlands

Depends. Aviation departments are often primarily for regulation of behavior within the airspace, they may not have any input on importation. Especially if they weren't the ones that wrote the rules eg: the bits about consent to photograph etc. They are more likely than most to know right off hand, besides maybe customs.

True. My thoughts were if they won't let you fly it, why bring it. LiPos can be iffy on transport, especially by airliner.
