My son just told me top gear is lame.
I don't know where I went wrong.
Fetal alcohol syndrome, mercury or lead poisoning, broken chromosomes, who can say?
Sometimes it just isn't the parents' fault...
If your response was anything other than "I...have...no...son...." you're being way too easy on him. You've got to nip this in the bud.
it's ok if he was talking about the US Top Gear.. unacceptable if he was talking about the proper Brit version..
Much like Samson broke his covenant with The Lord and lost his power, you broke your covenant as a Texan with The Lord's Team: The Cowboys.
His Judgment upon you has turned your son against Top Gear.

really....?? sounds like a well informed kid to me...... Top Gear... really? more like 4 really old boring schmucks
The cars are cool... but the hosts and humor remind me of Howard Stern

you lived on a diet of mostly lead paint chips when you were a kid, didn't you?

well … often it is
So your son, who is a teenager or less, isn't interested in a show hosted by three senior citizens. Next you are going to tell me he's not concerned whether Axl and Slash can put their differences aside. Dear me.
UK. It's the saddest day I've had as a parent. He is six. I feel I have let him down.
Anybody know any brainwashing techniques

Have to agree. Top gear is lame.
You can still put him up for adoption. My wife and two daughters, none of who are really into cars all love TG UK.
It's true. The last few seasons have been lame. I think it started going downhill somewhere around the 16th season. Until then it was brilliant.
I keep going off Top Gear - I'd watch a season or two and then decide I had better things to do with my time, like grooming the cat or something. A season later I'd go back, rinse, repeat. It's been like that for at least the last ten years. A lot of the time, I prefer Fifth Gear.
Same with the US version, although I must say I actually think the last season was pretty decent.
Oddly enough, I like James May's "People's Cars" specials.
Have him watch Mighty Car Mods, I can see TG lacking appeal to kids, my son is hit or miss on it, but oddly, he likes TGUSA. Mighty Car Mods is fun, and seems aimed at young/short attention span people, if he can't get into that, then your truly screwed.

THIS! Do it!
TG doesn't do it for me anymore either. I'd rather watch these guys:
