I think it must be - because you are not wrapping your head around it. It wasn't a public forum. It was a peer-to-peer chat that for all illusion has the air of "private".
The lesson isn't "Don't say anything". The lesson is "Read the Terms of Service" and understand that nothing is free. If you aren't paying - you are not the customer, you are the livestock. Expect to be eaten.
Exactly. I have no expectation that anything I type into a forum or chat window is private. I assumed everyone would assume that. Frankly, if they don't, they're idiots.

I've got to agree with your company 100%

It's not paranoia on my part - I do not participate. I'm trying to help educate folks who may not have understood that when a company offers you a service for free - your interests are not their interests. In fact, you are their prey.
I think "prey" is a bit strong. It implies that they are out to consume you and destroy you. In fact, they need to keep you around, it's the only thing that keeps a social network going. So yes, they want something from you, but they need to keep you happy, too.
How many FB users do you suppose read the terms of service?
Precious few, but I gave up on trying to keep idiots from hurting themselves a long time ago. And no, I haven't read it, either, but given what I do (infrequently) post on there, I don't think I have anything to worry about.

What about removing the tags from pillows? Do you think they will scan for that? They won't right? Why would they? What could they do? Oh man. OH MAN. Oh crap!
Does anybody under the age of 40 call it reefer?
It is spelled marihuana on the State of Michigan license to smoke cards.
Probably to keep people from pronouncing it mari-ju-ana
I'm probably one of the very tiny fraction of people in this country who don't use it. I was on it once, 2 or 3 years ago. I was part of a go-cart league and the only way I could get our season end results was from their Facebook page. So I very begrudgingly ventured in to find them. Never seen it since and have no desire to.
I honestly don't understand the concept behind it or the attraction to it. Seems very self serving to me. Don't see the fun behind posting a picture of what I'm eating for dinner.
Damn, I sound like a grumpy old man...

Right until the end of this section of your post I thought you were talking about weed...

If you smoked reefer you might have more interest in that dinner photo

OK, so I read this far into your post before realizing that you didn't mean marijuana, not Facebook.
[edit] Redundant post is redundant.

The following post is just pertaining to tobacco, not weed.
That is just the beginning.....when the "do-gooders" get in power, they screw things up royally. I just cannot figure out how they can legally make that a not hire/fire criteria. Next it will indeed be McDonalds, then chewing gum, then soda, etc....
I could however understand tobacco users having to pay more for insurance.......but honestly the obese should as well.
If that was entirely in regard to marijuana, I agree with above. Its still an illicit substance.

If that's how you interpret it, then you've at least taken the first step...admitting you have a problem.
But no, I don't touch weed either. If this were the 80's, well, I'm just glad the internet wasn't around....

That sounds like an admission of some criminal activity. I would encourage Tim and co. to have the authorities follow up on this.
