Call the number on the back of the ticket. Ask whoever answers (usually court clerk) for probation. You will still have to pay monies but insurance will never hear about it. The gubbmint gets the revenue, which is their primary objective, you dodge the insurance rate hike, your main objective.

This has not been my experience. The lawyer I talked to wanted to charge me 2 or 3 hundred to get the points dropped, but said I'd still have to pay the fine. I did what I always do: SHOW UP. Took me literally 5 minutes to get the exact same results, just 2 or 3 hundred bucks cheaper.

Last time I used a lawyer, I paid $75 for him, he called the pros attorney and had a 17 over dropped to a muffler violation. Funny part? That truck had no muffler.
