For the KISS / Motley Crue concert in August! Rock on!
I just got tickets to the WRDF show in Philly, featuring Cake and Incubus (and Flogging Molly and a bunch of other bands).
Saw KISS last year with my kids. Tried to explain to them that it was as much about the showmanship as the music. It was awesome. I'm not sure they really got it.
Wanted to attend the Mayhem Festival in OKC this year (Slayer, Motorhead, Slipknot and many others), but it's on a Wednesday.
1.5 days off work for a concert is a bit much for me. Especially since we'll be gone for a week in Montana at the beginning of the month.
Sounds like a group who would appreciate this. Saw it advertised all over the place on my last trip to Copenhagen. Headed back next week and trying to figure out how I weasel another trip in June so Im around for it.

you know what they say about a fool and his money...
JK man, to each his own...its just that yours are just no good lol
Wow, tough crowd. You guys will clamor over each other to pet a Yugo or a Wartburg but can't appreciate true melodic genius? Would it help if I told you the venue was the Clark County Amphitheater and that our tickets are for the grassy knoll so we can booze it up?

Because you can't go to a KISS show without having fun! They put on a hilarious show, without trying to be hilarious. They are a real Spinal Tap, and their shows are massively entertaining.
Rag on their music all you want, but there is a damn good reason they've been selling out shows for the last 30 years....
Gabe used to have a great T-Shirt----- "Your favorite band sucks!" No sense raining on the OP's parade just because you don't appreciate the same music.

nah man, we are just ribbing you...the last concert I was at was 311...I was 30 at the time. People were all up my e36m3 because I was old enough to buy beer at a 311 show. I think that may be illegal in some states.
fwiw, I prolly woulda been in line behind you for the same tix if the crue hadnt released that last album...I didnt care much for that.
I have heard that KISS shows are great if youre not there as a serious rockaphile, but just interested in a fun time.

Precisely. I'm sure most of the member of this board would hate at least 70% of the music I listen to.

No, it's only "part of every day". They have to sleep sometime.

Nobody ever accused the average American of having good taste.

Hahahahaha sort of what I was thinking
Sorry to thread-jack and ruin your fun, but I dunno, never got that type of music really.
