She got a new house with actual closets and real space to move about. She is taken care of for a while.

Did get her a new fitbit as well as she wore the old generic one out.

I'm horrible at gift shopping. Plus, with her just finishing school and not having many hobbies. She's getting the first 2 hunger game movies and 3 sweaters she picked out.

Pretty pedestrian stuff between the two of us, but I got this for my oldest son:

We've always figured Christmas gifts are mostly for the kids.

The "no nonsense," as she puts it, cotton briefs are 5 for $27, the fancier stuff is 3 for $33, not quite 1/2 off but a lot better than I've done in the past. Bras are still ridiculously expensive. I spent enough to get a "free" $20 gift card for my next purchase.

I think we've pretty much talked about everything on GRM now.

All the necessary gibbons to make Soda Water at home. Chick is addicted to the stuff. We probably burn through 2-3, hell, maybe even 4 twelve packs of it a week. It's not a terrible habit to have, and is certainly a lot better than my beer vice. But I am certainly looking forward to less empty cans hanging around the place.

the $20 gift card is good during some weird timeframe off like January 23d-February 2nd I think. It's going into her stocking for her to figure out. There was a 30% off any one item this weekend as well that she wanted used for a bra, but it went towards yoga pants, because yoga pants.

and yes everything has now been discussed.

I bought B a sodastream a while back. Between that and keeping the kegerator full we generate about 4 cans and bottles a week now. Pretty sweet.

I got drunk and went nuts on her favorite designers website. Got the goodie box full of scarves, shirts, socks, buttons and various baubles that will make her smile. Got her an Android tablet to replace her constantly broken Ipad2 as well.

This is exactly why I'm not allowed to have a Kegorator. The Devil himself lives in there.

I'm going the 20# C02 tank under the sink route. We crunched the numbers on the SodaStream a while back and it didn't seem like it would be that great of a savings. Although, maybe I should look into that again before I start collecting the necessary items.

I can't tell you how many times I've come home from the bar at 2am, got on the internet, and woke up the next morning going "The hell did I order from Cobb/eBay/Japan this time?" It's a dangerous sport. There was once where I ordered shoes, had no idea how much they even cost because the site was in japanese til I got the bill. They glowed in the dark though.

This Xmas, I'm praying the wife left me cold. I didn't get her anything- I've been too damn tired chasing our kid around and working and stuff. Plus beer.

Family agreement is that we are nice to each other and all human kind everyday except for the Hallmark Holidays. This makes for a stress free life.

If we need something, we buy it whenever we feel the need. Likewise, our charitable activities are not dictated by the media and the seasons. I mean, what is with this "cashier panhandling" that happens every time I check out of a store? "would you like to donate $3?" every time I check out of a store is pretty much the norm. I feel that this is abusive when you consider some older people are easy marks for charity pitches.

Bah-Humbug!

He lives there at $1.20 per pint of delicious local brew. Cheaper than sixers. I actually find I drink LESS with it.

I was going to set up a separate tap for carbonated water for B using the kegorator but the Sodastream is easy and I can run it off my CO2 system when the canister runs out.

If it is, use it once or twice. You'll find it is well worth the price, if you have any interest at all in cooking beyond "how much bacon can I fit in/on this object".

I just bought one for my wife. Not sure if it is exactly the one she was thinking of, but it will be pretty useful and nice to cook with.

SWMBO and I had an agreement to not buy each other anything but rather to pool our funds this year and buy a new sectional sofa for the LR. We bought it yesterday and both lied, she bought me "something she won't say" and I made the obligatory track to Victoria's Secret (I know her secret BTW) for a pair of nice daily wear bra/panty sets.

And sure the panties were half off, they were only $10 to begin with (and half off panties sounds like they are around the knees but I digress). Do something about the $40 bras dagnabit!

If you are nice to humans the rest of the time, do the Hallmark Holidays become The Purge?

If so, I might have to rethink my approach to the holidays...

Lets see. It started out with. Honey can you replace the spray nozzle thing on the sink in the kitchen. It morphed in to a new sink, disposal, faucet and spray nozzle and a new hardwood floor in the living room. So although this stuff will not fit under the tree It is what she wanted and I got it all done before Christmas.

Even though she is not expecting it there will be the small felt lined box with something sparkly. Well just because.

Eeeeyup. But protip: Holy E36 M3, the outlet store was 30% off retail on factory seconds (which was a tiny berkeleying bubble in the enamel.)

...so I got the "pot" and a "pan" for less than the retail price of said "pot."

Also: Holy E36 M3, I'm a sucker for good branding/merchandising/quality. AND the sales dudes were REALLY knowledgeable, helpful, and patient.

I am happy with this purchase. At some point in life, you start adding up the $$$ you've spent on chinese crap, and realize if it's something you use every day, some things are worth the investment/lifetime warranty/customer service.
