I think my Buell thinks it's English. The cooling fan stopped working. When we took the fan out to test it and then reassembled everything back to the way it was, the blinkers started acting up. Now, when the bike is NOT running, the blinkers don't blink. They just stay on on the side you switch to (and the thing just buzzes). Start the bike and they work fine. We have no idea why.
The fan still does not work.
My SHO started doing the poltergeist thing by locking and unlocking itself. It would also play radio static out of the speakers even though it had NO radio
I swear that car was cursed. Ask the poor sap of a dealer who got stuck with it...

Well after a week the exorcism was completed and I finally have the car back. Turns out a $650 part at the back of the steering column that all the steering column controls attach to was the culprit - identified after 4 days of testing and programming... And that's why I bought CPO. Interestingly, it's the same part as on a Rolls Royce Phantom. Don't I feel special now!

More interesting is how RR Phantom owners feel after discovering their uber-expensive car shares components with the grounds-maintenance vehicle.

Prince of Darkness.. Lucas or Ozzie?
I wouldn't be surprized if they were relitives
Did you hear about the Ozzie punishment at LeMons Texas? It appears Mr Bat Muncher's first 'real job' was testing horns at a BL plant in Blighty. So in his honor the LeMons guys got some Lucas horns, wired in a relay, added a 'clapper' type switch which would activate in turns and hung this thing in some poor miscreant's car.

In reply to Jensenman:
I was about to say that the thing would probably stop working on lap 15 or so.
Then I remembered that the horns are the only things by Lucas. They did the wiring themselves..did it last all night?
I don't know, thankfully that damn thing wasn't in the car with me. Instead, thanks to an overzealous first stint driver we got the Taiwanese National Anthem.

And the poltergeist is back... and now there's something loose in the steering in the area of the clock spring I'm NOT a happy camper.

Ouch.
Weird thing is...since we moved out to the country, I don't hear it as often as I used to.
Which just makes it even more annoying when I do. Every once in awhile, one of the tourists (we live near the lake out here) has one go off, and it just makes me wish I'd never sold my guns.
