I figured this conversation would go the other way. I never expected to be the one that had to tell the wife not to put greasy stuff in the dishwasher. Some ATF spilled in my toolbox. I brought my plastic socket trays in to clean in the sink. The Wife saw the dishwasher was only half full so she stuck the trays in. I just opened it up and all the dishes have a thin red film on them.

Seriously get some "finish" dishwasher cleaner and run it again on pots and pans. That stuff will pull the spots off a cow.

Oh man. I tried Simple Green on some clothes once. The Simple Green stank was as bad as the diesel stank.

Wrong. The only thing worse than diesel is 30 year old gear oil.

I got 15 year old gear oil in my eyes one time, can only imagine how much worse it would have been with double the time to age.

Burnt ATF is worse than gear oil.

I've got bottles of pure skunk oil, if you want the ultimate in stinky oils.

Not that it's any worse than my jars of rotten mice, mind you.

In reply to fox trapper:

Call me weird(well, duh) but I actually like the smell of skunk. It's about #3 after new tire smell and 110-octane.

So do I (we'll keep it a secret amongst ourselves). In light doses, it makes me ravenous for steak.

Skunk oil has been used as a fixacant for perfumes for a long time. Makes the perfume stink last for forever.

I like the smell of skunk as well.

it's my understanding that skunk scent is the base for lots of perfumes … and yeah I like the smell, as long as it's not too close/too strong

Let me guess... both of these have something to do with your screen name?

And the jars of rotten mice definitely belong in "Say What?"
