Yes the Dukes was awesome, and that's coming from somebody who treated the show like a religion when I was little. I can't watch the old shows, grownup me just ends up wondering what little me was thinking. I get the same reaction to GIJoe, which little me also worshiped. The new Dukes movie made the whole thing fun for me again.
