The Pink Floyd in the trailer is a big nod to this.
Villeneuve hasn't made a bad movie yet. I'm stoked.

Which one's Sting?
I kid, of course. I just re-watched the earlier version. There is nowhere to go but up. Definitely in.
It looks like it is capturing some of the style of the first one, in a good way.
I would expect this one to be a full 2.5 hour movie. The original was 2:15 and it barely squeezed in the story. I would also expect the story to be very similar.
I am starting to think that Dave Bautista does not do bad movies... yes Stuber was pretty good....
Mr_Asa said:Josh Brolin is great in that type of role. I'm not sure I could think of a better grizzled actor from the current crop. Not sure if that says something about today's actors and movies, or what I watch.
Edit: Maybe Tommy Lee Jones, or Scott Glenn?
Yeah, I'm thinking OLDER so your Tommy Lee Jones might be a closer fit in my mind. Not that I want him to play the role...in the books they always made Gurney out to be a pretty salty older guy. Not frail old, but old enough not to mess around. When I first saw the trailer I wondered if they'd made Jason Momoa Gurney. Glad to see that's not the case.
They are planning to split the movie up into two parts.
They have apparently not green lit Part 2 yet...
