...car websites when trying to think of ideas for the project car Cutty.

Because I find articles like this and think "Hmmm why not? Its basically a stock car body right?"

Maybe I should put the beer down for the night.

You do it i'll buy you a beer! I've always wanted to build in the style of a 70's stock car

my buddy in high school was into those Laguna's and he had one painted that Chevrolet Blue (kinda lighter blue).

I still like the way those Laguna's look.

You should stop, but you won't....

My problem is I end up finding the next project WAY before the current one is done.

Well one of the original ideas was to set it up like one of those old stock cars, heck it is an A body. Also I got the car and some of my parts from stock car guys.

It would be a heck of a lot cheaper than the pro touring idea.

you should throw in some ideas from the "cheating" thread if you are going with a stockcar theme.

I keep looking there for ideas for my SS. I'm thinking of something similar to this but maybe different colors

'70's vintage stock cars = WIN! (even streatable look alikes as long as they have some patina)

Funny thing happened tonight. I was sitting in the bar getting some dinner and talking to my Uncle about the car. We were brain storming cars to get parts from, and the best way to make the car handle an autocross course (or road course) but on a budget.

I got talking about building it up as a stock car for the street and he said "Well then one thing you will need is an adjustable blade spoiler made from aluminum."

Apparently he loves the idea of how I want to build the car, which is good because then he will help out. So yeah it looks like the spoiler idea for the car will be a go.

You'll need to log in to post.
