At the state park less than 10 minutes from where I live. That was cool. Apparently they can be found in almost all of Michigan during different parts of the year. I had thought they only lived in a few places by the great lakes in this state.

They've been making quite the comeback around here (NY state) as well. I saw them numerous times over the winter, including one perched in a tree about 25 yards from where I'd parked my car at work.
They're all over up here in British Columbia. 
they are thick in west central MN- you can't drive 5 minutes across the countryside without seeing one.. they aren't as thick here in central MN, but they aren't a rarity, either.
When I lived in MN, I once saw 8 at one time in my backyard along the Crow River. It was cool to see them. I haven't seen one in NC yet and when/if I do, I don't think it will be anywhere near where I live.

Yes, they are fairly populous in Minnesota these days, particularly along the Mississippi from the Twin Cities down to La Crosse, WI.
Lots of them in the U.P. of Michigan. We've had a nesting pair by our cottage since we bought it and it's a rare day when we don't see one fly over. We've seen them catch fish and scavenge other dead things on the shore over the years. Seeing their footprints in the sand is pretty impressive.
The Canoodians can eat them since they aren't sacred up there. Any of you beady-eyed northerners had eagle wings?

In Canada it's just a bird that gets killed by windmills. It is a predator though... so maybe it needs marinade?

You don't have to shoot them. Just hang out near the wind farm with a basket! They harvest themselves.
Our plant is situated at the bottom of the mountain w/ woods to our back bordering the state forest and where the river levels out. Been fortunate to see eagles come off the ridge and fly down river to hunt. Quite the sight.
Birds of prey are awesome.
I see them a lot at my house. I live on a river at the base of the Cascade mountains. They are huge.

I know where a nest is near Grand Valley Statue University. Last time I was out there, you could see the female in the nest.

But we don't have any guns to shoot them, so still out of luck for getting eagle wings for this years Stanley Cup final!
I'm less than stay bullet distance from South West Philly, and we have a nesting pair of Eagles and a nesting pair of Ospreys living within 2 miles of here.
They've made huge advances in NC. Jordan Lake, a man-made lake outside of Raleigh, has given them a lot of new habitat. I recently read that there are more Bald Eagles in NC now than at any time in the past. I live about 5 miles from the lake, and have seen them around my neighborhood.
I have a friend up north who sends me pictures like this every now and then to annoy me.

They're pretty common on Jordan Lake the triangle. A couple of years ago 3 of us boated down the Roanoke River from near Scotland Neck to Williamston. Saw a bunch of them, stopped counting them after 20.
There are a few that hang out at our county landfill.

Crow River, eh? you must be from my neck of the woods.. north or south fork?
there is a nesting pair about 5 miles from here... fun to watch.
My favourite bird of prey is still the Osprey, I love to watch them hunt fish when I am taking a break at work
I'll go you one better - on Saturday I saw an osprey dogfighting with a bald eagle, trying to chase the eagle out of his/her territory.
