It's gonna need some seriously low gearing to be usable...even then it's totally useless.
I want one too!

Heyyyy
That would be some good carbon-neutral transportation around town...not clean, but carbon-neutral

Ah yes but any "exhaust" would be biodegradable... get those kids that walk around in parades out there with their scoopers collecting for the city, city starts big compost piles to convert the leavings into methane fuels.
That thing is pretty rad. However, if it weights WAY more than a mountainbike and is less maneuverable than a mountainbike, I dunno if I'd have much use for it.
Ooooh! You could put a motorcycle engine on it! We could call it an Awesome Trail Vehicle! Or, ATV for short!
Wait. Never mind.

My exact thoughts... maybe a SBC
An electric motor on that thing would be fun! Soo much torque . . .
Heck, even a small, single piston or twin piston motor would be unbelievable!
Then . . . .of course, one of us here at GRM would go crazy, find a wrecked Hyabusa and make that thing hit 60 in 2.2 seconds.

Man, I had plans to build something like that years ago, based on the bike-car plans I bought from the back of Popular Mechanics.

Agreed. The tires alone (maybe even just one of them) probably weigh more than my hardtail. One of those ideas that sounds great in theory...
