Ice Cream bar?

Has anyone heard about those new Dove Magnum ice cream bars? Does anyone else wonder what the marketing people were on when they came up with that name?

The chocolate/chocolate Magnum bar is very good (I won't even bother to acknowledge the ijits above)

I just bought the vanilla with caramel in the coating today and will consume one tomorrow. I expect it to be good also.

The chocolate one filled the room with a lovely chocolate flavor just by opening the package. Most "chocolate" covered bars don't really have enough chocolate in them to smell like chocolate.

I haven't tried it. My original point was that the name is the same as the condom plus the commercial says something about "pleasure seekers".

I believe that such instant name recognition is a marketing win, for both brands.

I didn't get your Magnum Condom connection to Dove Magnum ice cream bars at all from your original post.

Now that could be that since I'm married I don't use condoms but I DO eat ice cream.

This name was actually their second choice after the "Dove Maxi" tested poorly.

I hear they are coming out with a mint chocolate chip flavored one soon that will have a nice crisp refreshing taste. It will be called the Magnum Summer's Eve.

No matter if they're good or not, the marketing has done its job. Y'all are talking about em, and that's all it takes.

I don't eat ice cream, but an ad caught my attention. Yeah, the one where the barefoot hottie in a sundress scampers across the roofs and hoods of cars stuck in a traffic jam.

All she wanted was a crack at the Magnum truck up in front. All I wanted was to share the other Magnum with her.
