OK...no driving here in northern NJ. Too cold! The MGB and race-Spridget are tucked away in my warm (crowded) workshop.
In this weather the minivan seems more appealing than the DD Miata (even with Blizzaks).
So.......what do YOU do when the "car season" is over
(assuming you don't live in "One-season Land"
We make the best of things here and decided to go out on our lake today to hang out with our friends who are ice-fishing. Ice fishing is like owning a Harley. If you have to ask, you probably wouldn't understand.
Anyway, ice-fishing has almost nothing to do with actual "fish".
For one thing, the pickerel you catch are almost inedible.
It's a low-cost, working-man's hobby that involves hanging out with your weirdest friends. Normally you stand around a portable grill and maybe bring a portable hut. A flask filled with a flamable beverage is required. And sometimes, cigars are involved.
The flask is the most expensive part of the equipment for ice-fishing. And the most important.
Anyway, snaps of us below....
Just caught and wriggling in my hand like all get-out.
A mess of pickerel
The hut is a nice acutrement.
Dogs like frozen lakes! Who knew?!?!
