For some strange reason I'm thinking about an AWD Chevy Express van. Been searching the CL and not having any luck. The pictures of the RWD look just like the AWD, how do you identify the two? Is it possible people are unaware of what they have? Insert - Smokin Deal!!!. The astro and Safaris have the AWD listed on doors. Even if I saw it in person, what is the first giveaway It's an AWD? You guys know everything about everything car ( or van) related, please help me. By the way, this will take the place of three unfinished projects collecting dust . So I fit right in this place

I think the awd version has a "badge" on the rear door that says "awd"

Some years may have a badge that says, "Stabilatrack AWD"

Thanks. Some of the 1500 Express vans don't even have badges on the rear doors. I'll just have to see them in person and figure it out from there.Ben

if you are looking at it in person, look for a transfer case behind the transmission, a front differential, and driveshafts going to the front wheels..

i think the VIN has an H where the 2wd has a G.
