I would either do this: http://cheaprvliving.com/Steves_Van_Conversion.html
Or get a job as a long haul trucker.
Vandwelling = awesome.

Yeah but then there is the whole quality v. quantity thing.

A quality girl wouldn't mind living in a van with the one she loved.

The problem is telling a girl you live in a van because we all know women like money.
That is a real interesting site. I've owned a van since '93, and have become a converted man. I still have cars. and have used the vans for work mostly, but I've always entertained the notion of extended campouts using the van as home base.
I have sufficient gear for camping, and could do a short stint pretty easily, but these guys live for months in theirs, and I might be too old for that lifestyle.
Mighty cool. If the economy doesn't turn around, we may be seeing much more of this..

Almost. More like a converted man in a cargo van. I'll never own another pickup; will always own a van 'til I go toes up. Never had a van with seats in the back.. where would you put the riding mower, 10' boards, plywood, sheetrock, tools, etc.
I had a couple of derelict cargo vans in the back yard that I used for storage. Did ya know that if you go about it right, you can put 3 RD350 Yamahas in the back of a '75 Dodge van?
Sold the bikes, then sold the vans to the scrap man (see $14 thread..) Still have (and plan to keep awhile) a decomissioned DHL E150 van I got a deal on. Notice you see more of those on the road without the lettering? Plenty of room for camping, race weekend, etc. Plus, you can carry anything but a full size refrigerator in there ('cause you're not supposed to lay them down). Currently used to haul Rubbermaid containers to fleamarkets and yard sales. Unemployment is a biotch..

Well, I have a house for that, but we're talkin' about unencumbered freedom and havin' fun!
Right?
Maybe I'm on the wrong page..
Interesting.
I just spent about an hour reading that entire website. I felt like it was good info to know should I ever need it.
thats coooool...
sometimes i wish i wasn't single. I forgot why I was happy with a woman...i didn't go out and spend a ton of money each week partying and wasting my time with single servings.

If i lived in a van, i would have at least a 25% increase in cash flow.

GRMHarmony dot com...
Yeah, but how do you sort the survey responses if all the answers to the questions are either "Miata" or "P71"?

How about just a separate sub-forum.

Count me in, BTW. Profiles should include current projects.
i'm currently on the hunt for a woman that's a lawyer, doctor, etc. I want a woman that can support herself and let me do my hobbies lol (unicorn)
