What you all really need is to come to the 405 area code and get some legit Onion Burgers. Tuckers or Bunny's in OKC, or one of the 3 in El Reno about 30 miles west of downtown OKC.
In the depression/dust bowl era, onions were cheap and beef was expensive. So to make the beef go a bit further, local cafes/diners started adding onions. A gigantic heaping of sauteed onions on the grill with butter or oil then on a nice patty...................sure you're breath is horrible afterwards, but it's AMAZING.
The traditional way to have it would be with only mustard and pickles, some people add cheese but it ruins it for me (and I love cheese).

I tried Krystal a couple times and they are a sad impression of a White Castle.
Wally knows food, and speaks the Truth. Krystals is to White Castle as Huddle House is to Waffle House. A bad impression, poorly executed.

Saw these on a tv show recently and it made me want to get on a plane to Oklahoma.

You don’t get a body like mine without learning a thing or two.

This is worth your 13 minutes

They really needed to do a Minnesota juicy lucy as well.

I just watched like 3 episodes of that. I'll watch more later!

Cheese curds? Is that a thing? I thought they went out with Little Miss Muffet.
Cheese curds are almost a staple in the upper midwest, especially at the state fair.
Love fresh curds, don’t much like them battered.
wendys or Culver’s when I’m going through the drive through, local specialists if I’m sitting down. Five guys, McDonald’s, Denny’s, Burger King, Affle House and IHOP never.
Totally agree w/ the thin sliced onions, adds so much more... maybe it's the contact patch area to the palate. No soft buns, gotta have a hard outer for 'containment'.
I'll fry frozen patties at 350° cast pan, 5/16- 3/8 thick molded in a small margarine tub lid, sear after 30 secs, seals the juicy in, even doe burgers w/ ground mixed in, yum.
Now y'all gots me thinkin'... off to the store tomorrow.
As far as IHOB, I'm not compelled to run out and try their burgers, their breakfast was mediocre at best.

This post crashed hard. Too tired to retype. Maybe tomorroe
So with all these posts has anyone tried one of their burgers? I mean you'd think someone would at least try them before having an opinion wouldn't you?
In reply to carguy123 :
That’s not how the internet works.
In reply to carguy123 :
They can't handle pancakes, there really is no point in trying the burgers.

Do not bring logic into an internet beat down.

You could have a whole TV season just based on which restaurant came up with the Jucy Lucy first, Matt's Barr and Grille or the 5-8 club.
(note the proper spelling of "jucy" in this context. )

This man knows what the right answer is, as indicated by the spelling.

Nice!
That deep-fried burger looks like a grease bomb! This makes me want to hit up Tucker's for lunch now.

I tried a classic burger. Not great, not terrible. But hey its open 24 hours. I think it was $7 and comes with fries or with onion rings. The ones with bacon etc were $10 IIRC. My take.. you can do worse for a $7 burger.
I'm not really a fan of their pancakes either. I've been there maybe twice in the past decade. Breakfast plates with eggs and potatoes.. now that is what you order at IHOP. IHOB. Whatever.
apparently it was all a ploy to promote their new burger offerings. they turned the b back around, flipped it over, and are back to ihop again.
