The 'nado went through the south side of town. Right off 39 and I-65. We all had wind, but that's normal. We had 50-60mph sustained straight line winds for the better part of 2 hours.
The good news: There isn't a single leaf left in my yard!

Everything was alright where I live in NW Toledo, but I work in Perrysburg, just SE of I-80/I-75. Storm hit around 5:30PM while I was at work, everyone was told to go to the middle of the store while the storm passed. Lost power at about 5:45PM, generator kicked on, and we were the only place that I could see in P-burg that had power until I left work at 7:30PM. Not sure how long people in that area didn't have power for. Seemed like nearly everyone south/east of the Maumee river didn't have power. People came in around 6PM until closing like moths to a flame, nearly wiping out our flashlights, batteries, sumps/battery backups, etc. I think we sold out of generators in that last hour the store was open. Only other storm damage I saw was a big tree down on some power lines across from my parent's neighborhood near the western edge of Sylvania.
Power. Back on in that area as of 11:50 this morning. Looked like a war zone on 795 @ Oregon though. People in lake were crapping themselves again I'll bet.

I bet. That was a pretty gnarly storm last night. Lots of people came in just because they didn't want to sit at home with no power.

I watched a trampoline fly accross my neighbors yard and take out the street light. I was a very intense storm. I was nervous helping hime carry it back all broken up.

I work about 2 miles away from where it touched down.
i was driving home from Nashville TN in a full size van right on I71 through the rough stuff. I experienced white out rain fall....interesting and bizarre.
Also had a handfull the whole trip with the wind. Its like driving the Mayflower in gale force wind gusts, on a narrow road....in the dark.

Yup, my shop is just south of Lake High School so that's two good sized tornadoes in three years within a mile and a half of us.
Somehow it all went around us. There were tornado warnings in the county to the south of us, and a few counties to the north, but we just got a little rain in Evansville.

You guys got enough hell when I was attending USI in '05-6. I swear tornadoes have onboard trailer park sensors.

That was a standing joke at our high school. Our auto shop was in a separate building at the edge of the property, abutting a trailer park. "For a tornado drill, you go outside and into the school gym. Tornadoes hit trailer parks and we're right next to one!"

For sure. I was out on the patio of Hammerheads at 2am "enjoying a good storm" only to find out the next morning that 20-something people died in the trailer park 10 miles away while I was out there. Crazy.

I lived in Ruston Hall on campus at the time......didn't hear a damn thing, including sirens. Even had the windows open.
