Could probably find a better one--more cylinders or less miles--for comparable money. I haven't looked for at Camaro's/Firebirds for about two years, but seems like that price is a little high for so many miles with only six cylinders. I could be wrong, though.
Well that's the asking price I'd try to get them out the door for 2900 or 3k or just walk away, plus I've beem dreaming of an F body for a while. I seem to remember that the 6 was 200 hp and handled better than the z28 (engine is behind the front wheels for the most part), and try finding a manual camaro, jeez I'd rather pull teeth and it's a hard top. T-Top camaros suck, ask me how I know. Plus how many guys are looking for a PURPLE 6 cylinder Camaro, I bet that's been there for a while. Hmmm I gotta go there today and check it out. man the wife is going to be PISSED.

Well when you put it like that, it makes sense. Its been a while since we've dealt with a dealer, so I forget about haggling. And I kinda like the purple.

Buahahaha...If you out bid me on that car, I'll use a four year old as a club to beat you senseless with...buahahaha.
Would the supercharger from the Grand Pricks fit on the V6 Camaro? That might be a cheapish way to increase hp.
Wow... Not even close! First, NO F-body got a S/C 3800, period. Second, the WS6 is a TRIM package, available on either the FORMULA or the TRANS AM (both V8's only). WS6 (depending on the year) got you a revised suspension including stiffer springs/shocks, bigger sway bars, and better bushings. They also received a different exhaust (single outlet at the beginning of the LS1) and a larger rear spoiler. WS6 was independent of other options so things like stripped-down cloth interior hardtop Formula WS6's are not unheard of.
Blue wheels only came on the LT1 Trans Am Anniversary (25th Anny IIRC in 94).
Clearer now?
ok, it wasnt' the ws6, but i knew there was an lsjuan trans am that came with blue wheels.
1999 30th anniversary edition:
edit: my god! look at that wheel gap!
The third gen T/A came with a turbo like the Buick GNX. I would be supspicious of any T-5 mated to a 400hp engine. If you a trying to have a play car I imagine the 6pot would be okay as long as you can withstand the "mine is bigger than yours" crowd.

They may not have gotten the supercharged 3.8 in the F body but they DID get a turbo version of the 3.8 in 89 in the Turbo Trans Am 20th Anniversary model. There was also a Turbo V8 in the early 80's in the second gen body (used in Smokey and the Bandit 2).
A turbo Buick 3rd Gen has what to do with a S/C 3800 Series II in a 4th? :P
Funnily enough I saw a 25th Anny T/A (94) today, it had white wheels but that same white/blue scheme. I knew it was of them.
Just like what my friend from BOCES drove. I E36 M3 you not, he had a purple v6/5spd early 4th gen camaro. But he was racing microds once he was old enough and went to stock cars at 14. With that cred, you can get away with a purple F body. He was also in the first class of the UTI NASCAR school.
The wife has no clue, and since the SHO didn't sell I have a project car, and a parts car sitting around, so I gotta wait till that's all done with. I'm willing to bet that that car is still around for a while, or a similar one will pop up once this DURN SHO goes away, i don't want to do it but it might just have to go to the crusher.
I dig Corvairs, Opel GTs, Ford Cortinas, and every now and again I hear a little whisper in my ear telling me that I should have a blacked out 67/68 Camaro SS exactly like the one in 'Better Off Dead' but the idea of wallowing in whatever concentric circle of Dante's hell the late model American car inhabits makes me want to drown a bag of Japanese anime kittens.
I worked for a race team, Prototype Automotive Services, South, in Tampa, Florida in 1988 that ran in and won the IMSA Firestone Firehawk series that year. Our parent companty, PAS, Inc., in Farmington Hills, Michigan, did all the mule work for the 1989 20th Anniv. Turbo Trans-Am.
The motor was similar to the GNX motor, but since the hood sloped more steeply in the T/A, they had to use a different intake set-up to get it to fit. I still remember getting to drive one down to the parts store to get some non-detergent oil for the 305's we were breaking in on the dyno. I ruined some Corvette drivers day!
Do what I did when I dumped my SHO, use it as trade-in fodder to some poor unsuspecting dealer I got a grand for mine and it sat on his lot for over a year, then he auctioned it to another dealer who turned out not to be dealer and abandoned the car in Seattle. I got papers from the city over two years after I traded the pile in saying I owed about $750 for impound fees, etc. One phone call and one fax later and the city was well aware that the dealer I traded it to was the legal owner. He was NOT happy about screwing himself on not checking out his bidder! I don't know what happened to the car, but the city told me the dealer was responsible for the $750 (and growing) regardless of whether or not he retrieved the POS. Man, that car was cursed!
