The Rauh Welts dont have much in common with this thing. The builder of those cars prefers n/a and mostly does suspension and asthetic work.

a mostly subtle 930, in a unique, gorgeous color, with a twin turbo'd 996 3.4?
I'm a fan.
The spoiler makes me want to blow chunks....
But absolutely everything else makes me want to blow a load

The mostly part, yeah, thats fine. The wheels are awful, the wing is awful, and the hacked bumper with the exposed turbos and no air filters is awful. With some other wheels, only the stock rear wing, and a turbo system that was designed for function, not car shows, then yeah I think id like it
The underhood paint job is the worst. Did they not take it apart or mask anything off before squirting paint?
I tend to agree with Travis on this one.
I prefer my 911 in this flavor... http://www.speedhunters.com/2008/09/car_feature_gt_gt_cafe_racer_1969_porsche_911e/
Note the shout-out to GRM, too!
Turbocharged M96? That is the last engine I would add PSI to. They blow up under standard load, why add pressure?
Porsche didn't even turbocharge that engine, they used a watercooled derivative of the GT1 engine.

Given the reputation of the guy who built it, I honestly think it'll be fine.
I love the color combo, the blue with the awesome white wheels gave me wood.
I'd say boo to the wing, but at 650ish hp with the "small" turbos I'm going to say it gets a pass.

There's nothing even remotely subtle about that car. A Wagner opera directed by Michael Bay & a pyrotechnics man would be more subtle.
...which is why it's brilliant.

I don't care if Jesus himself built the damn thing. You can't make a built M96 that won't explode just on "reputation".
Are we seriously debating whether a 650 hp twin-turbo '70s 911 with 13" wide rear wheels is cool or not? If that isn't cool, the world is ending.

It ended up making over 1000whp with earlier bigger turbos... pretty sure it's fine. It's not a STOCK motor.
Might want to send the man a nice letter telling him how badly he fails and that his car is a ticking time bomb at 650whp at a measly 11psi even though it previously held together at almost twice that power to the wheels.
I'm not saying it can't make power, and I'm not saying that it isn't well built.
What I am saying is the M96 is a flawed base design, and anything short of a complete redesign (including a superior casting for the case, a new design for the intermediate shaft bearing, and a better cooling system) will end in failure.
Don't get me wrong, I am not knocking Bisi's abilities. I am simply commenting on Porsche's poor design choices in the name of cost savings during a company wide economic recession in the mid-90s.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled JDM fanboi-ing.
I know you were all waiting for me to comment so I'll share now; not that excited. The Singer stuff, Steve McQueen's brown early 70's example, the black car from The Gumball Rally, those are the 70's 911's I like. This is something else.
