Our first child was born wednesday evening. Mom & babe are doing well. Going home today. I'll get some pics posted when I have more than a Blackberry and one free hand. I've already started reading him "The Racing Driver" by Denis Jenkinson. He's so riveted by it that he usually poops and sleeps when we read it. Not necessarily in that order.
Having kids is the greatest hardest job you will ever love.

Yep, hardest and best thing I've ever done..
Congratulations!
It's tough but man are the rewards worth it.
Every day becomes the best day of your life. Enjoy!
I have three, can you tell me how that happens??
Alright, seriously. I'm glad mom and (unnamed?) baby are doing well. Like others said, your life is forever changing, every aspect of it. But it'll be beautiful!!

what no specs??? name? height weight? come on man, if it were a car wed already know engine displacement, miles and condition...
Your new at this so well cut you a break, but only if we can match the baby's name to a famous racing driver or mechanic, or astronaut, everyone likes astronauts....
seriously, congrats, your very fortunate!!
Specs:
Name: Jackson (no famous inspiration, just liked it -- I guess we could link him to Jackie Stewart)
Height: 20 in.
Weight: 8 lbs., 5 oz.
CID: depends on how much he's had to eat.
New dad moment today: put clean socks on him right before changing diaper, dragged clean socks through poopy diaper...dad-fail.
Congratulations...a smaller version of yourself is much easier to revise for the better than the full size model I am very glad for you, and everytime I hear about a car nut having a child, and still being a car nut gives me hope as the missus and I are on the quest to start our own brood.
congrats and wish me luck
congrats. I have a 3 month old. It's a hell of a ride. The first 6 weeks are pretty rough, it does get better.
Congatulations! Just wait untill he is 2 1/2 and demands to help help you fix your car with toy plastic pliers in hand!
Congrats. You will wonder why you didnt do this sooner.
My 3 year old daughter just today gave me permission to use her Sesame Sreet tool bench on my cars
Now go give your wife a hug and kiss.
