Theres a bluuuury line between enthusiast and enabler...Im not making a call on where the majority of this group stands with regards to that line, im just saying there is one
The vehicles you appear to be drawn to have only one front wheel. My training in psychology* give me the skill to interpret this as a deep-seeded fear of front wheels being out of alignment. By seeking out one-front-wheel vehicles only, you are masking a problem for which only professional therapy can overcome.
Good luck to you in your struggle!

I've heard of this psychological phenomena before. If not treated early, it can lead to impulse purchasing of such vehicles as the Bond Bug, see below.
The Scarab, a salute to British thriftyness. Why buy two front tires when one will keep the front off the ground, and we can license it as a bike for added savings.
Thanks Dan, whenever I think I'm out of my mind for looking at something you come along and top it.

That truck looks like it should have been a character in the Cars movie.

Probably didn't arrive in time . They're rather slow, even by ancient European truck standards. They're pretty rare, too but again most European trucks are as people threw them away when they were used up.
Fortunately for Dan they're a little too big to fit a 40ft shipping container so I can't accidentally bring one with me with the household goods
Watched that clip of V8 utes racing. WE NEED THAT!! SO much cooler than nascrap. The trucks look mostly stock (I know they are not), lots of bangin', fast, loud, what else do you want? They even have original dashboards.

...........hence my login, my website, and my thinkin' on cars...........
Go to a car show, an autocross, an HPDE, or talk to a self-avowed "car guy" somewhere and the story more often than not is all the same. Camarobirds, 32 fords, 57 chevys, mustangs, Cobras, Vettes, and here, the Miata....
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing, nay, NOTHING against the above cars. No enmity, no hatred, no need to bag on them. In fact I respect anyone that has a true passion for cars. Like that other OT thread from a couple days/weeks ago -- I think it's something that we all have in our blood.
I just like the rare/unusual/somewhat obscure stuff. Like the Matra posted on the GRM section. Cool, unusual, and guaranteed to stand out wherever it is driven!
I got my Fiero because I've always wanted one and it is for the most part, like nothing else GM made in the 80's or ever. I've had folks think it was a Ferrari and even a Pantera -- how many times have folks, er car guys, not thought a Camaro was a Camaro!. It is funny to run into folks in their early 20's who don't know what it is -- doesn't look like your typical domestic, not quite like a Japanese car -- I had a hard time convincing a kid that Pontiac actually made something that looked like it! And GM orphaned that car just as it started to show some promise.
The TVR was purchased because I saw one at an autox and just fell into car-lust -- like nothing I've ever seen, they were built in relatively low numbers, were atypical for british cars for the day (apart for the build quality ). Similar but different story for the Puma -- I woke up one day wanting an aircooled car, thought that would be an older beetle with a heavily chopped top and a volksrod style front end extension.....and then I saw the prices of old VWs!! For less than the cost of the beetle I wanted I got something that gets constant double takes whenever I take it out for a drive. No one knows what it is....I tell folks it is the stillborn result of a Ferrari Dino and a 240Z.
BTW, I totally get the bias here on the boards for the Miata -- it just freakin' works for what we do -- autox, HPDE.....it is a driver's car. And in 1989/90 when it debuted, it was awesome because there wasn't something similar out there. But we've been living with the Miata for 20 years and Mazda has churned out a bunch of them! My car-eye has just grown accustomed to seeing them everywhere. It's a personal thing for sure, but I like a car first for its looks. It is easy to address all the other bits that lurk under the skin like engine, brakes, suspension.............I'm an engineer, not an artist/car designer.
OTOH, take that Miata and wrap it in an Italia body conversion................you just might have something there...
