Should be a good time. Our rally car is a Vauxhall Omega estate, which I haven't actually seen yet. I've joined up with a guy who already had the car but needed a co-driver so that worked out well. I'll try to post up some pics along the way but Photobucket doesn't work well from my PDA-phone so y'all might have to wait until I get back home.
Got my zip ties, got my duct tape, so I'm all set!

Greets from Pompeii. We're doing the southern route but decided to skip the "rest day" in Rome for logistical reasons. Spent a night in Pisa, which is an incredible town, and a night here instead. The alps were spectacular but didn't make the brakes on our Vauxhall happy at all... Stelvio was unfortunately closed due to snow, but maybe it's a good job we didn't go especially seeing the heaps some of the other teams are running (I really don't think the guys in the remains of a Transit van would have had a good time there!)
Our car is actually quite fine aside from some dodgy wiring causing charging problems. Knock on wood... Biggest surprise so far has been how utterly dead Davos, Switzerland was on a saturday night. I know it's not the ski season, but still...
Tomorrow we've got a leisurely run across the spine of Italy then the overnight ferry to Greece. Italian road tolls are (literally, heh) highway robbery though, we're €55 in so far... The other group are in Bosnia tonight and apparently have booked themselves into a really sketchy hotel, and were discussing sleeping in shifts to watch over the cars! They have also been having problems with the law that we haven't (guy who organized the whole thing's been nicked twice already!) That said, we haven't had to deal with any border guards yet. Think I'd rather be here all things considered.
So, the story so far has been: Köln -> Davos -> Pisa -> Pompeii. Driven through Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland, and Italy. Lots of beautiful scenery, great roads, lager consumption, and, now that we're into Italy, good wine. No way to get pics from my camera onto my PDA so y'all'll have to wait 'til I get home for those, but I can assure that they are epic. Fun times.

pics! I wanna see pics of the euro version of the BABE rally. I don't recognize half the cars anyhow, should be even funnier when they're euro AND completely gone.
Well, How about keep the rubber on the road, the fluids in the engine and the beer cold.
