ditto. I have a motorolla flip phone.
I get most of those references. I just don't get what is "extremely upsetting" about them... with the possible exception of never having to have learned to navigate with out a smart phone. Otherwise it's just, "OMG! Pop culture has changed over the past 10+ years!" BFD.

Folding a map was a lost art even then.

Mine is a Samsung. My 2 year old nephew has a toy flip phone, and whenever he picks it up he "calls" me since we have the same phone. I also have 3-4 trip-tiks out in the glovebox of the Malibu.

I think I'm the only person under 30 who's capable of such a feat, at least in my circle of friends.

Even my mother finally bought herself a cell phone.
Heh. I'm 55 and said 'damn what a bunch of dumbasses, we had better (insert musician/actor/car/etc) back in my day'. I say things, my daughter gives me the RCA dog look (another reference she'd never understand) and I realize I'm as uncool as my dad was. Oh, well. GTFO my lawn, dammit!
The RCA dog, for all you other punk kids out there:

I wouldn't either if my mom hadn't bought me one.
I think I got all those references, and I'm 51
Just goes to show, keeping up with pop culture doesn't matter even a little bit, and I get all the references.

You are my hero
I used an old-fashioned fold-up roadmap yesterday for navigating in northeast Pennsylvania. Stupid GPS had no idea that the bridge was closed due to construction, and I wanted some control over the detour route.
And yeah, I think I got less than half of those references.
