I've always been mildly annoyed that my microwave doesn't have a turntable. I rarely use it, but when I do I'd like it to heat in a uniform fashion. So anyway, last night I was cleaning it, and as I was scrubbing the bottom, pushing hard on one side, and it started to teeter up on the other. It totally has a false bottom! And there's a working turntable under there! Now i need to figure out what plate I need and if there's any other pieces I need to make it work. I looked around for similar microwaves that have a turntables, and have had no luck. Any ideas?

Try your local appliance parts house. Any microwave safe plate that fits should work just sitting on the turntable.

The turntable that's on it is VERY wobbly. The shaft is plastic and so is the hub on the aluminum thing, and you can't put much weight on them. I'm thinking it probably takes one of those rings with wheels on it under the plate, but I don't really know.

Measure it and then check here with this search:

Some of those glass plates are very expensive. I put my old microwave on CL when it died so someone could grab parts off of it. Either that or a local appliance repair place may be able to find a cheaper one.

Epoxy one of these to the stem so the outer ring sits on the pan floor: Plastic lazy suzan bearing

Then set the largest pyrex platter that fits on top of it.
