National Geographic commissioned a film crew to catch cheetahs in action. They succeeded.

Note, the beginning is beautiful, slow-mo stuff; the incredible (towards the end) shows one of the cats at full-throttle.

I love the mechanics of big cats, especially the cheetah. I had to start that over, because I didn't notice the timer in the upper left. Three strides (counting the left rear paw) per second, wow!
that is pretty neat, I turned off the HD setting to get the playback a little quicker on my computer
Always wanted a cat that was big enough to keep the neighbor's kids in their own damn yard.
"My cat can make it from the house to this fence in one second, can you?"

I just get "loading more stuff" and a picture of a cheetah.

I can usually start one, but it's like the player has some sort of memory leak; they usually grind to a halt partway through...
I got a look at some of the slow and fast after much jumping back and forth, with HD off, and vimeo's berkeleying timeline responding to clicks in apparently random ways... Astonishing animals.
