I guess if GRM had a WAY, WAY, off topic section, this would go there.

If you are a "vintage tv" fan, please bear with me for a few minutes. In case you aren't aware, the tv shows Ironside and Quincy were produced/owned by the same company. This company (Harbor Productions), was owned by Raymond Burr (Ironside, Perry Mason). This morning I saw an episode of Ironside that looked like it could have been a possible "pilot episode" for a spinoff series. Imagine a doctor/detective series that is sort of a cross between Marcus Welby, and Quincy. But here's the REAL twist....the doctor is played by..............DESI ARNAZ. Yeah, Ricky Ricardo as a kindly doctor and wannabe detective. But even MORE amazing for this particular episode? Well, it was filmed in the early '70s, but the slurs thrown at Dr. Domingo about his illegal citizenship and even his medical credentials would have fit in perfectly if the episode were broadcast today. A few times Dr. Domingo is called "wetback" to his face, and his medical degree is suspected of being fake.

I guess one of the main reason for thinking this would have been interesting is that besides seeing Mr. Arnaz in a (somewhat) more serious role, instead of as just Lucy's husband, you also have to like a doctor that drives an Edsel.
