I've seen this for real estate, but not for autos.
I admit it: I at first thought it was a poor neighbor needing a car. Now that I know it's a dealer, I'm insulted by the offer

The handwritten "personal touch" is the only thing this communication has going for it!
Back in the day (when people put ads in newspapers, of all things!) I used to call on those ads looking for cars for the Porsche dealership I managed......I told them I was only going to pay wholesale but that it would be an easy sale and they would get a check right away. I bought a surprising number of Porsches that way.
One couple brought in their 944, it was a good color with low miles but OMG did that thing reek of cigarette smoke. I paid them well under book (which they were NOT happy about but needed to sell it) and spent a lot of money trying to get the smell out of the car, but never really got it out. Fortunately, the guy who bought it had a terrible cold that day......there truly is an ass for every seat!
I'm not buying the $5K over book value in this ad, unless you buy one of his cars of course...

This. It's definitely from a printer.
That's pretty popular around here for real estate, home renovations, cars, and jesus. It's not hand-written, it's just a font that looks like handwriting.
I get one about once a month from a local church telling me that I'm going to hell if I don't come every Sunday.
In reply to Curtis73 (Forum Supporter) :
Mine all seem to come from HVAC companies that want to charge me too much for a yearly tune-up.

But it does get you in the door , and that's the first step to a sale !
HOPEFULLY
I get these after accidentally inviting a vampire err, Renewal By Anderson into my home.... Crikey those guys are persistent. And a ripoff.
They're also like Amazon.. I already bought windows for my house. I'm not collecting them or anything. I won't need more for a long time. Let it go.

Pay them no attention. As I understand it, you will go to hell only if you do not confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Your attendance at church does not matter to Him.
...yes... but you don't know what Curtis has done.....
Regarding the font: There is a site (or used to be) that would create a font for you handwriting if you send them a filled out form with all the letters and numbers. This one looks more generic.
At least for me, starting out by trying to trick me, is not the best way to earn trust.

Exactly. But if I attend, I can be guilted into putting money in an expensive brass dish.
I would call him and tell him I cannot buy a car from anyone that puts lines through their zeros or sevens.
I get texts pretty often from people offering to buy my house.
I don't usually get a response when I send this gif.

You guys get brass dishes?

I have just started getting these again. I tell them i will seriously consider any 7-figure offer they care to make.
So far, no one has taken me up on my generous start to negotiations.
