Was mostly a gamer when I was younger, but need something to distress and a good story to enjoy. I'm a long time fan of Chrono Trigger (best RPG of all time), and I did like Toram Online for a MMORPG (I just didn't like the grinding), and absolutely adore everything about Skyrim (except limited types of enemies). Unfortunately, do to time issues, I'm only able to use my iPhone 6 Plus for gaming and I don't see that changing anytime soon. With the crazy popcorn brain mentality of mobile games, it always seems that they are very shallow, quick game oriented, or are thrown aside too quickly.
*I'm not typically an Action Rpg fan either as I could never get into Star Ocean, Bastion, Diablo, etc. I prefer turn based or 1st/3rd style (not overhead hack n' slash everything in sight).
Final Fantasy IV, V, & VI are all available on Android and iOS, I believe. And they have updated graphics, kind of like SNES+. I enjoyed the crap out of FF6 last winter.
And Chrono Trigger is definitely one of the top RPGs of all time. But its number one spot was usurped by the original Mass Effect trilogy, sorry.

I have all the FF purchased. I've played everything up through IX when I was younger (not a fan of X later additions), and just haven't felt the need to replay any yet.
I downloaded all the Dragon Quests, but again, have played all of them at one point or another from childhood through college via emulators or consoles.
Although Mass Effect isn't an option on iOS (and I have no interest in jailbreaking), I do need to try it someday (I've NEVER played or even watched anything on it).
Thank you for the response!

You're both wrong. Best RPG ever is still Planescape: Torment.
Any reason you want it on a cell phone? You can pick up a used XBOX 360 for pretty reasonable and get some awesome RPGs on that. Heck, I've got a '360 collecting dust in a corner that I'd be willing to sell cheap.

Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 are amazing (2 being the best one so far in my opinion). Andromeda was absolute rubbish. Still my favorite game series of all time.

Yeah, I'm slowly playing through Andromeda. Does it ever actually get to a plot?

Although I may get another 360 again, I just don't have time to sit in front of the TV. I usually only get time in bed next to my wife at night for 1-2 hours at most.

I did just see that pop into the iOS store the other month......I just realized they imported Baldurs Gate too. Not sure how they'll work on a 5"-6" screen though. Maybe I need a stylus to play. Do styluses work on iPhones?

Nope. But enjoy the 3 desert planets and 1 frozen wasteland, out of the 6 planets you get to explore. And a really lackluster one-sided villain.

Plus you'd need headphones to hear the wonderful voice acting.
Well, broke down on an "Action Story RPG" as they call it......we'll see if I can deal with button mashing and it's hopefully not hack n' slash crap that's out these days.
Purchased the game below.....

I recently snagged a ps4 bundle that came with Uncharted 4 and I'm loving that game.
Full disclosure: I've never really been a gamer and I'm pretty far behind the times.
