The American leg of their latest tour kicked off last night, and we were there--front row, even! (Not on the floor, but still front row.)
And, yes, they again brought a plane with them.

I remember seeing these guys way back in the 80s. It was incredible. It looks like their shows have just gotten better.
I also remember talking to one of my school librarian about wanting to read the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, and she was very surprised when I told her I found out about it through a heavy metal band. Same with Charge of the Light Brigade. I think it changed her opinion of the loud music we were listening to.

Yup. Add to the list: Aces High.
Also, I'm not one of those people who record concerts with their phone. I'll snap a few photos and maybe a few seconds to share, but when I realized that I was watching history, yeah, I recorded a bit more. This was the opener, by the way. Talk about coming out of the gate on the rev limiter.

And Run To The Hills.
And because I have Maiden playing in the office today, one more video. (Also, check out who's flying the Fokker.)
I like IM, but only in small doses. Good show, I'm sure
The Spitfire suspended like that reminds me of U2's Zooropa tour, when they had all the Trabants swinging around on mechanical arms, being used as spotlights.

Even songs like The Evil That Men Do has some historical ties. Also one of my favorite Maiden songs too

Yes! I saw that.
We're seeing Maiden this fall but, sadly, no train to Tampa. :(
In reply to Brett_Murphy (Agent of Chaos) :
Yup, that's the same leg that we're seeing.
Scream for me, North Carolina.
