Is GRM a car club?

I don't know if they'd try it again or not. Awhile back, they tried to launch a confederation for smaller car clubs ("Council of Motorsport Clubs", IIRC). I was talking to Margie about it at the Mitty one year, she said it was a pretty miserable experience.

If it is our clubhouse we need to add lots of Quonset hut garages to keep the projects dry.

Yeah, our clubhouse needs at least one inflatable concrete building, we could make it the mess hall.

The local gang heads have black ones. They wear them to hide the grease and look a little more professional when they shake down a potential seller for the rock bottom price.

I usually refer to the Board as the one with the "car guys".

I always refer to it as our online community. Saw Slefain at Amelia, and noticed his friend seemed a bit confused when we explained the connection, then immediately launched into a hearty round of gossip about people we'd technically never met. (And speaking of seeing Slefain, it's always nice to put faces to names, but I reject his chosen pronunciation... I've come too far with "sleh-fain" to ever consider switching to "S. Lefain," sorry.)

What are you talking about? There are liquor cabinets next to every bed! This is a trailer park after all!

Don't ruin it by making it a club!

Then we'd have to elect officers, 20% of the people would do all the work, not enough people would show up for meetings, we'd have arguments about whether we should do more driving events or tech sessions, someone would complain about how we don't have enough younger people to keep the club going, etc., etc.

....or run order, or allow annual tech, or street tires, or pit bikes, or......Oh, never mind. Those are our issues. Your club may have different ones.

Club, support group, gang... I call this place "Home".
