Doctors are required to report seizures to the DMV and the person will loose their drivers license. That happens whether the person is driving at the time or not. The license will not be reissued until a doctor signs off on the person being seizure free for 6 months. SWMBO almost lost hers, and would have if they hadn't determined that it was low blood pressure that caused her to pass out in the grocery store parking lot rather than a seizure.

Low blood pressure? I figured hanging around you would have jacked hers up. Seriously, glad she's OK.

In my state, after a seizure, you cannot drive for six months without a doctors permission. Your doctor will make you sign stating he told you that you cannot drive so he cannot be held liable if you do. He CAN report to the state and ask them to suspended your license, but why would a doctor do that if he wants to keep you as a patient. A suspended license is a pain in the ass and you are held 100% liable for any damages if something happens.
