these are all 'mine' my wife has her own car 09focus (and a 'spare' 98zx2)
soooo, have i past the point of crazy, or is this semi normal for a car guy
hope some of you are worse ( so i'll feel better about myself)
Perfectly normal for a single male auto enthusiast. I've yet to find a woman who I could convince of that, though, so hopefully you're having better luck.

Only reason I don't have that many vehicles is because I sank all my money into two expensive ones.
Seems perfectly normal to me.

At my worst I've had 10 cars while married (when I was single there was an incident with 25 or so vehicles on my property but that's another story)
Currently I have 4 plus the wifes DD and a parts car. This is a general low for me though. Usually it ranges from 6-8 cars.
Don't worry, you're normal....around here anyway.
The truck is all good - I would combine the Ninjas to get a 750, Put the V8 in the stang that handles best and lose the other, build a Trebuchet and see how far you can throw an '01 Focus.
Then I'd go car shopping again.
In reply to jam:
I used to have 3 cars and a truck for myself and then 1 for my wife. If I had a decent sized property, I would have had many more. Unfortunately finances have dwindled the car count to one race car, a daily driver for me, and a daily for my wife.
The point is- if you have the capability (financially and space-wise) to own that many cars, you should. I will live vicariously through you my friend.

You're much more 'normal' than I am. At least all of your vehicles have a purpose. My yard looks like,
- 1994 Bronco, tow vehicle
- 1997 Boxster, 'my car'
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/751/
- 1987 924S, winter beater (Bronco uses too much gas)
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/2427/
- 1986 944, broken connecting rod
- 1987 924S, parts car
- 1972 VW Super Beetle, albatross (26 years awaiting resto)
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/1003/
- 1971 VW Super Beetle, parts car for albatross
- 1975, 77 & 78 VW Super Beetle convertibles (not nice enough to restore, too nice to junk)
- 1978 Lincoln Continental (just inherited it)
http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/3253/
- 1987 Mercedes 560 SEC (the car that won't go away)
So you see, it could be worse. At least all of yours run.
what am I doing wrong? I am single and only have three cars (one project) and a mountain bike

You had best get yourself another 2 - 3 non-running cars or people will start to talk.
I don't see any problems except you didn't say which one was your project car.
the Fiat is the project.. the other two rotate in and out of the garage for work

You could start a taxi business with your Ford fleet.
97 E-150 conversion van. Tow beast
99 Chevy Venture Kid hauler and wife's DD
83 RX-7 Toy and project.
80 Triumph with Mazda bits in it. Fondly known as the Abomination. Do a search on here, you'll find it.
70 Chevy Chevelle basket case and future project
89 Mazda 626 might be a DD for the daughter...eventually
78 KZ1000 Probably end up as a engine donor for a cycle powered A-mod
90 SeaRay 210BR boat for those hot summer days when I just don't feel like messing with a car.
86 T-Bird. What's left of it. Two tours at Lemons was kind of hard on it.
Recently sold a 57 Chevy 150 Handyman wagon and am looking for a 78-81 Malibu wagon to replace it.
That doesn't count the 4 Ford work vans I have.
Don't feel bad, it only gets worse.

Crazy is when you only have a path thru your house because there are so many rusty car parts. Crazy is when you haven't seen your kitchen table in ten years because it's covered with car stuff and spray paint cans. Crazy is when your yard looks like a scrap yard, and you have run out of land to erect more tents to hide everything in. Anything less than that is perfectly normal.
Your cylinder count is too low to be past the point of crazy.

How do rotary engines count? Just want to see if I'm crazy or not.

Rotor/Chamber = 1 cylinder? iono
Jeez, I am way down on vehicle and cylinder (rotor?) count.
Down to:
1997 Trooper DD 'Tucker' (hey, that was my kid's idea!)
Restored 1974 Jensen Healey JH5 'Casper'
Much molested rotary powered 1974 Jensen Healey 'Jensenator'
1980 Yamaha XS 650 street tracker project (not named yet).
I have a couple of temporary tenants, though:
1976 Cosworth Vega (doing a little work for a friend)
1986 Honda Civic Si (heavily molested LeMons car)
Maroon92 has a few...
1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback
1976 Triumph TR-7
1978 Triumph TR-7
1987 Toyota Supra
1990 Toyota Supra
1993 Ford Mustang EP solo car
1995 Ford Aspire
1999 Saturn SL2
The * signifies NOT RUNNING
Ok...here's my list.
1969 VW Baja Bug that my wife doesn't want me to get rid of
1995 Honda Accord will be the DD once I finish repairing the deer damage.
1993 Honda Civic Ex Coupe originally bought to be a Challenge car but went over budget and became the spare DD
1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z hopefully will be my Challenge car and not just a challenge
1985 Porsche 944 future restoration project
1979 Chevrolet K10 Scottsdale parts chaser, honey do, tow vehicle
& my wife has a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am DD
I've been told that she gets a hot tub before a can get another car. I'm cool with that.

I second the 3 cars and a mountain bike sentiment. I need to go fetch the Volare (yes, THAT Volare) out of a barn. I can't decide what to put in it. I kept thinking small block, but something about v10, or diesel...... or some sorta turbo 4 banger. I know I'm sick like that. At least it still has T-tops and a working 8 track.
