All's well here in the middle of the state, although the ground is a little soggy. The radio says there is standing water on the Courtey-Cambell in Tampa, and Dale-Mabry is closed in both directions. Schools are closed as far east as Polk county. It's a steady drizzle, but there's not much wind so far.
Let me know how it is near you

Only thing I have noticed is my car looks cleaner and I am working from home today....we need more of these things!
New Tampa area.

Ft. Lauderdale- We got 8 inches of rain, gusts of 45mph, nasty day. Some lost power, but not us. As far as storms go, not much. I'm real happy about that.
Glad to hear you guys are OK. How about a SitRep from GRM world HQ?
Uh, it's been drizzling that light, super-fine tropical mist most of the morning, with a couple of heavier rain bands. Overall, though, we've had worse storms pretty much every afternoon for the past 2-3 weeks, so meh. I'm way more concerned with what's for lunch.

So...what *is* for lunch?
I like where this thread is going!
I'll start: Leftover macaroni from last night. Some of those good long and curly macaroni noodles, then a homemade cheese sauce: start with a roux, add in some milk, then Widmer brick, dill harvarti, pepperjack, colbyjack, sharp cheddar, a little bit of Velveeta (for the creaminess), some onion powder, oregano, pepper, and garlic. Then, for the homerun, I mixed in some thick cut bacon cooked in the oven.
That is what is for lunch.
Had black skies and rain all weekend just from this thing being nearby.

Well, it's Monday, so that means no Bamboo Garden. And it's raining, which always says some sort of soup to me. I'll probably politic for Pho.

There's a place up here that gives you free fries when it's raining. And they're really good fries.

I am glad to hear it was not too awful for you guys. I wasn't expecting this thread to make me hungry though.

You're falling down on the job. Why is this not listed in the tasty recipes thread so we can all find it again when we want to cook it.

I'd totally do Pho. But the good place on beachside--where, coincidentally, we can experience the wrath of Isaac when we go over the bridge.

Lower Palm Beach county here. It's pouring now and have had lots of strong thunderstorms as the feeder bands rolled in during the past 24 hours. Some Banana trees blew down and lost some limbs off an Almond. They say 8-10" of rain here so far. I live on a large canal which hasn't been so high since Wilma in 05. Flood warnings still in effect
Not bad here didn't get as much rain as I expected. Looks like the sun is trying to make an appearance.
Still sunny and 78 here in Connecticut. No decision on lunch yet.

We have a chain called Burgerville here, but they have sensibly not gone down the free-anything-when-raining route in Oregon...

Still raining like crazy here, strong intermittent wind gusts. This storm is really big.

I never thought a thread about hurricanes would make me think 'cholesterol poisoning'. Damn if that doesn't sound good, though.

Glad to hear you're okay man. "ZOMG FLORIDA GOT RAINED ON!"
Yeah, today we actually had less rain than usual.
It reminded me that riding in the rain isn't so bad as long as my hands, feet, and head are dry.
