And I wasn't even working at my shop. My dad needed me to fix some stuff at his business. I had intended to not work today since I have flu-like symptoms. So not only did I not get paid for working sick today, but I got a $170 ticket for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign down the street from my house on the way home.
Sounds like Dad owes you for your time (if not money, some sort of barter arrangement). The ticket is your fault, sorry.
