I've been in one of the 'Vair-powered motorhomes, at the Corvair Ranch in Pennsylvania (about 20 years ago). It was very lightweight, to the point where it would crumble under any accident. The door seemed to weigh less than 10 pounds.

i had a chance to pick one of those up about 6 years ago, for $500 in running condition, interior trashed. pretty cool rvs, but alas, at the time i had no where to keep it so i had to pass on it... id actually prefer a discoverer (in the ad brochures posted on the same ebay link above) which are much more impressive, and solid , ive looked at four of those, put deposits on two, but none worked out in the end. the search continues, but now im looking for something a bit smaller...
