Rotting Iguana sounds like a high school punk band.

Sonic Iguana is the studio of punk musician Matt Giorgini from Squirtgun and Rattail Grenadier, so you're not far off.

SWMBO has looked at a couple of So FL jobs, but the pay rate doesn't match up to the living expenses. Even at double her current pay rate the cost of housing down there alone is killer.  When she was in school she attended a conference in Lauderdale on our dime. Her exact words were, it's NUTS! You go to a restaurant and they don't even have sweet tea on the menu. Not to mention the cheapest meal is usually ~$15. That's not including the 150 a night for a "cheap" hotel that wasn't @ the conference."

Google "BBQ Iguana".  There are websites devoted to the subject.

I haven't noticed any frozen ones here, but our beach daisies did take a hit. Oh well, they'll come back in the spring.

The iguanas can take a bit of a cold hit, but too long below freezing and they're goners. Frogs on the other hand are nigh-indestructible when it comes to cold. Most frogs can be darn near frozen solid and come back just fine. I moved my autocross trailer inside the shop today to get it ready for an event and it looks like a bunch of frogs had decided that the box would be a great place to ride out the cold snap. I scooped one out that was in a particularly vulnerable spot and he was just sort of limp. Held him in my hand for a while and he warmed up a bit and got back to frog business, whatever the hell that is.

There's a few more on the trailer that are still in their torpor state, but they're not in any danger. I'm heading south this weekend so I'll let them out 100 miles south of here where they shouldn't have to deal with any more freezes.

I'm not sure if "beach daisies" should be the name of a band or a motif for the good life. smiley

Wasn't there a SNL secret agent skit a couple of decades ago about "The Iguana"...?
